Coronavirus Cases and Deaths in Bangalore, Bengaluru Flood Highlights: Karnataka on Saturday added 264 fresh cases and six fatalities, taking the caseload and death toll to 29,83,133 and 37,937, the health department said. The day also saw 421 people being discharged, pushing the total number of recoveries to 29,35,659. Active cases stood at 9,508, a health department bulletin said. Bengaluru Urban accounted for the maximum number of 121 cases and three deaths, it said. The positivity rate for the day was 0.43 per cent and the case fatality rate was 2.27 per cent.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka government on Saturday said it will take a call on further relaxing the yellow nike tennis hat,Covid-19 related restrictions after consulting the experts soon, in view of a substantial drop in cases in the state.

Police sources said that Unit-B of the seven-storey building near Binny mills in the heart of Bengaluru has tilted one to 1.5 feet due to a wide crack at the basement. The building was unveiled less than two years ago. The quarters is the latest in a string of building collapses reported in Bengaluru city. As many as four building have tilted or collapsed due to heavy rains in the past weeks. A police official said that city police commissioner Kamal Pant, engineers and other officials visited on Friday and have taken stock of the situation. They have ordered necessary arrangements to evacuate the families of the police.
